Overview
Nele appears in Volume 57 of the *Comprehensive Genealogy of the Manchu Clans of the Eight Banners* under the entry for the Esurhu clan. He belonged to the Bordered Blue Banner and resided in Zhuoqin. The volume lists him among those who submitted during the Chongde era, but does not provide the precise year of submission, nor does it specify the official positions Nele held. Therefore, his identity record should be understood separately from the records of his descendants' official positions.
The original record states that his great-grandson, Hezhan, served as an infantry officer; his great-great-grandson, Taituka, served as a guard officer; Dadu served as a captain; his fourth-generation descendant, Turpeng, served as a secretary; Suotai served as a deputy captain; and his fifth-generation descendant, Yehe, served as a captain, while Songai served as a cavalry officer when the genealogy was compiled. These records span several generations, involving banner camps, captain organizations, and civil service institutions, showcasing the different positions held by descendants, but do not necessarily imply that Nele himself held any of these official positions.
"Zhuoqin" should be preserved as the historical ancestral residence as described in the original text, and it is inappropriate to insert a modern administrative region without proper place name verification. The term "current" refers to the position held at the time of compilation and does not imply that these positions still exist today. As a historical biographical entry, Nel's verifiable facts focus on his banner affiliation, ancestral residence, and descendants recorded in genealogies, which are insufficient to compile a biography with birth and death dates and detailed deeds.
