Overview
Solheno (simplified as Solheno), a member of the Kochili clan, belonged to the Bordered Red Banner and was originally from Warka. He submitted to the Manchus during the Tiancong era. Volume 49 of the *Comprehensive Genealogy of the Eight Banners Manchu Clans* records that he served in the army as a non-military officer. During the siege of Hejian, he was the first to scale the city walls and died in battle. He was posthumously awarded the title of Baturu and the rank of Qiduwei, which was inherited by his son, Funile. Baturu was a title of honor for bravery, while Qiduwei was a hereditary title.
Fonile later served as General of Xi'an, participating in the war against Wu Sangui, recapturing Chaotian Pass, and died in the army. He was posthumously honored with the title Gongjing. His third son, Tuoliu, inherited the title and served as General of Heilongjiang, later succeeded by Laishan and Deshou. A general commanded the corresponding garrison's military and political affairs; the posthumous title was a posthumous honor, distinct from the hereditary title and actual posthumous position. Elengt, the second son of Fonile, was awarded the title of Yunqiwei for his military achievements. He served as Governor-General of Huguang and later as Acting General of Xi'an. He died in battle at Kagawusu and was posthumously awarded the title of Third-Class Qingche duwei, with the posthumous name of Zhongyong (ZhongYong, meaning loyal and brave). Therefore, the line of succession of Solheno and the line of Elengt's additional hereditary title should be described separately. The number of victories mentioned in the original genealogy is a summary of official biographies; specific battles and dates still need to be verified by other historical materials.
